Compounded Dosage Forms

Dosage forms are specific mixtures of active pharmaceutical ingredients mixed into “excipients” or inactive components and placed into a device to provide a particular dose of medication to a specific patient.   Dosage forms can come in several types, including liquids, solids, and semi-solid dosage form which may have different routes of administration (topical, oral or vaginal, rectal).
